There is no account, no sign-in and no server that stores anything about you. Everything you do in coffeewalks — the people you walk with, the walks you save, the ones you log, the ratings you give — is written to your own browser and stays there.
There is no analytics, no tracking, no advertising and no third-party measurement of any kind in this app. You can verify that: the whole thing is one JavaScript file you can read.
What is stored on your device
In your browser's local storage, under these names:

None of it is sent anywhere. Clearing your browser's site data for this domain deletes all of it, and so does Clear saved walks and history in the Profile tab. There is no copy for us to delete on your behalf, because there is no copy.
Your location
If you tap Find walks near me, the browser asks your permission and gives the app a coordinate. That coordinate is used in the page to sort walks by distance and to draw the dot showing where you are. It is not written to storage and it is not transmitted to us — there is nowhere for it to go.
You can refuse, and the app still works: search for a place name or pick a point on the map instead.
Other people's servers
The app is a web page, so opening it makes requests to the places its parts come from. Those services see your IP address and what you asked for, as any website's would. They are:

Nothing about you is attached to any of those requests beyond what your browser sends to every site it loads.
Where the walk data comes from

- Wikimedia Commons photographs — each credited to its photographer with its licence, shown beside the picture
Suitability scores are derived from surface, gradient and barrier tags. They are a strong hint, not a survey, and the app says so wherever it shows one.
Ratings
Stars you give stay on your device. They are not uploaded, not shared and not visible to anyone else, because there is no server to hold them. If that ever changes it will be a deliberate, announced change with its own consent, not a quiet one.
Ratings shown from Google are fetched live at the moment you ask for one and are not stored, because Google's terms do not permit storing them.
Children
The app is built for people planning outings with prams and toddlers, but it is used by the adult doing the planning. It collects nothing from anyone, of any age.

If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. Questions about anything here can go to the address on the project's GitHub page.
